Wakeflow Listen

Privacy Policy

Last updated 4 September 2026

Wakeflow Listen turns documents into audio. This policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, who helps us process it and the choices you have.

Wakeflow Ltd is the controller of your personal data for Wakeflow Listen. Our address is 2A Ledbury Mews N, London W11 2AF, United Kingdom.

Information we collect

We collect only the information needed to operate, secure and improve Wakeflow Listen.

Optional Gmail attachment browser

If you choose to connect Gmail, Wakeflow requests read-only access so you can find supported attachments in your own mailbox. A scan checks up to 100 matching emails from the last seven days and records a limited catalogue of supported attachments, including filename, file type, size, sender, subject and message date.

Wakeflow does not download, store or convert an attachment file until you press Add beside it. Wakeflow Access securely manages the Google authorisation used to maintain the connection, and Wakeflow Listen does not keep a separate copy of your Google access token.

You can disconnect Gmail at any time. Disconnecting revokes the connection and removes the attachment catalogue held for this feature. Documents you already chose to import remain in your library until you delete them.

Wakeflow Listen’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We do not use Gmail data for advertising or sell it.

How we use information

Service providers and sharing

We use trusted providers to operate Wakeflow Listen, including Google Cloud for hosting, storage, text-to-speech and Firebase authentication; Apple and Google for optional sign-in; Expo and device notification services for push notifications; and email infrastructure for documents sent to the upload address.

These providers process information only to supply their services to us. We do not sell personal data or use your documents for third-party advertising. We may disclose information where required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business sale or reorganisation subject to appropriate safeguards.

Legal bases and international transfers

Where UK or European data-protection law applies, we process account details and content because it is necessary to provide the service you request. We rely on consent for optional Gmail access and notifications, and on legitimate interests for limited technical and security processing.

Some providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where required, we use contractual or other recognised safeguards intended to protect transferred personal data.

Retention and deletion

We keep account information and library content while your account is active and only as long as needed to provide the service. Deleting a document removes its source and generated files from active storage. Limited records, backups and security logs may remain temporarily where needed for security, reliability or legal compliance.

You can permanently delete your account in Account settings. This deletes your account, documents, generated audio and transcripts from the active service. You can disconnect optional Gmail access separately without deleting your Wakeflow account.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or receive a copy of your personal data, object to certain processing and withdraw consent. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority. In the United Kingdom, this is the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Security, children and changes

We use authenticated access, encrypted connections and restricted service access to protect information. No system can guarantee absolute security.

Wakeflow Listen is not directed to children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission.

We may update this policy as the app or law changes. We will update the date shown on this page and provide additional notice where a change is significant.
